SANWOOD Technology has successfully concluded its participation at Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2026, held from June 23 to 25 at Messe Stuttgart, Germany.
At Booth 1324, our team met with automotive engineers, test laboratories, battery manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers to discuss practical testing challenges in vehicle development.
The conversations were direct and technical.
Most visitors were not simply looking for a standard test chamber. They wanted to understand whether the equipment could match their real test conditions, safety requirements, sample size, heat load, temperature change rate and long-term reliability targets.
That is exactly where SANWOOD’s experience in environmental test chambers, climatic test chambers and battery test chambers becomes valuable.
Automotive Testing Is Becoming More Demanding
Modern vehicles are exposed to more complex environmental stress than ever before.
EV batteries, ECUs, VCUs, BMS units, sensors, connectors, power electronics and charging components all need to work reliably under changing temperature, humidity and thermal stress.
During the exhibition, many discussions focused on these application areas:
EV battery safety and reliability testing
Automotive electronics temperature and humidity testing
ECU, VCU and BMS validation
Power module and inverter testing
Thermal shock testing for electronic components
ESS rapid temperature change testing
Walk-in testing for large automotive parts and assemblies
For engineers, the key question is not only whether a chamber can reach a target temperature.
The real question is whether it can maintain stable, repeatable and safe test conditions throughout the full test cycle.
SANWOOD Solutions Presented at the Exhibition
At Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2026, SANWOOD presented several testing solutions for automotive reliability and environmental simulation testing.
Temperature Humidity Test Chambers
SANWOOD temperature humidity test chambers are used for automotive electronics, sensors, connectors, displays and electronic control units.
They help engineers evaluate product performance under controlled temperature and humidity conditions, including high temperature, low temperature, damp heat and long-term stability testing.
Climatic Test Chambers
For automotive components that need broader environmental simulation, SANWOOD climatic test chambers support stable temperature and humidity control for development testing, validation testing and quality assurance.
These chambers are suitable for automotive electronics, plastic parts, sealing materials, charging components and other vehicle-related products.
EV battery testing was one of the most active topics at the booth.
SANWOOD battery test chambers are designed for lithium-ion battery cells, modules and packs. Depending on the project requirement, the chamber can support temperature simulation, humidity control, charge-discharge testing integration, explosion-proof design, pressure relief, gas exhaust and safety protection.
This makes them suitable for EV battery development, battery safety testing, battery abuse testing and lithium-ion battery reliability testing.
SANWOOD thermal shock test chambers are used to test how components respond to fast temperature transitions.
For automotive electronics and power modules, thermal shock testing helps identify risks related to material fatigue, solder joint weakness, sealing failure and thermal expansion.
ESS Rapid Temperature Change Chambers
SANWOOD ESS chambers support accelerated reliability screening for electronic assemblies and power systems.
By applying controlled rapid temperature changes, engineers can expose weak points earlier in the development or production process.
Walk-In Environmental Test Chambers
For large automotive parts, battery packs or complete assemblies, SANWOOD walk-in environmental test chambers provide larger test space with stable environmental control.
They are often used by automotive manufacturers, battery companies and independent test laboratories that need flexible testing space.
More Than Equipment: Project-Based Testing Solutions
One clear message from the exhibition was that automotive customers need more than a chamber model.
They need a complete testing solution.
Before a project is confirmed, engineers usually need to review several factors:
Test sample size and weight
Heat load during operation
Temperature and humidity range
Temperature change rate
Safety level for battery testing
Ventilation and exhaust requirements
Laboratory layout and installation space
Power supply, cooling system and service access
Test standards and validation targets
SANWOOD works with customers from the early technical discussion stage, helping them choose the right chamber structure, refrigeration system, safety configuration and control solution.
This approach reduces project risk and helps the equipment fit real laboratory conditions.
Supporting Automotive Testing in Europe and Worldwide
The automotive industry is moving quickly toward electrification, intelligent driving and higher electronic integration.
This creates stronger demand for reliable environmental test chambers, climatic test chambers and battery test chambers that can support real engineering needs.
SANWOOD will continue to support automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, battery companies and test laboratories with reliable testing equipment and customized reliability testing solutions.
